Dear Neighbors: Join Us and Fight PSC!

cleanaircoalition.net is a growing number of like-minded individuals from Berkeley, Albany and El Cerrito who fed up with having to breathe Pacific Steel Casting's (PSC) toxic fumes. Specifically, we intend to file a group lawsuit through Small Claims to force PSC to give us a credible "totally clean" solution - in stark contrast to the flawed December 2005 "Settlement" deal with BAAQMD. If PSC refuses to clean up its act, then together we make PSC pay for their decades of toxic air. We have contracted with Neighborhood Solutions, Inc. and they are on board, consulting with us to assert our rights.

The public wasn't asked to consider the recent BAAQMD and PSC partial toxic reduction "deal". We continue to be made ill on a daily basis and we cannot afford to wait for a substantive change to happen at this corporate rate. We hope the suit will bring PSC back to the table - and answer to the community.

cleanaircoalition.net is now asking people to show up for more information at Councilmember Linda Maio's PSC meeting on 2/15 at the Berkeley Senior Center @ 7 PM. We will be there at a table to answer your questions and ask that you sign a petition to give us more information on your PSC-related concerns.
